Deep in the heart of Texas

For the most part we saw all of central Texas. We traveled throughout the hill country visiting beautiful vineyards, some that overlooked gorgeous clear lakes, floated down the Guadalupe River, ate at Chuy's (the restaurant Jenna Bush was caught drinking under-age), visited the Texas History museum (where the pic of the Texas Lone Star was taken), ate at The Oasis off the Colorado River, visited the State Capitol, and ate a Rosa's in Killeen. The running theme here: eating great Tex-Mex.
While in Austin we checked out what the big fuss was all about. It's a great city with a HUGE capitol (the largest state capitol in the country-7 feet taller than the U.S. Capitol in Washington). I guess it's true: everything is bigger in Texas. We ate at the Whole Foods headquarters in Austin, a smorgasbord of D-licious and unique foods. They must keep the "sneeze-gaurds" over the foods to keep people like me from drooling onto them. AND to top it off Matt and I got belt-buckels...I feel so official now.
