Sew - a needle pulling thread

Over the past 3-4 months I have tried my hand at creating things mostly by crocheting, sewing, cooking or writing. Lately I am crocheting hats, blankets, trims, etc. I find crocheting to be both fun and frustrating. For every finished product there are at least one to two I will get half-way through before discovering an annoying flaw. The project is then stopped, ripped out, and cycle repeated. Despite this aggravating process there are projects that survive all the way to the end. I find working with my hands to be cathartic and having something to show for my work time brings a sigh of relief.
Below are pictures of a trim for a baby blanket I crocheted.
The thread is so thin and the gauge of needle so tiny that it took me a couple of weeks to complete the trim. (ahem - maybe it was longer, but who's counting?)

Trim before being attached to the blanket.

Pinning the trim to the blanket. Sew, sew, sewing.
*sigh*

That's a beautiful blanket, Jamie! I am so glad to see that you are doing it! I wish I could get my schedule under control to have time to do this kind of thing =) Love you girl!

That intricate trim is beautiful! I've been trying my hand at the textile arts myself lately (although, the scarf I'm currently working on is looking kind of like an 8 year old made it...no offense to you 8 year olds that might be reading this). Jan said she'd teach me crocheting sometime soon. We'll see how that goes!
