Comfort food and paper flowers

I am listening to women laugh as they construct flowers using skewers, tubes of capstick, and colored tissue paper.
I just ate the most fabulous cupcake i have ever tasted. (thank you, Dr. Piazza!)
I am wearing a red-and-black ribbon made by a lovely co-worker.

Terry Wade...

"...impacted every life she came in contact with, often not knowing it. She lived her life selflessly, with nothing but generosity overflowing from her heart. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. As an RN, she took care of sick babies and their families in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at CHOA @ Egleston for over 22 years. Her impact as a nurse will be felt for generations through her co-workers and the babies she helped save. She will live on spiritually through all who were touched by her, and physically through the lives she saved with her last selfless act on earth, donating her organs so that others might live. She loved tailgating at Georgia Bulldogs games, taking care of her dogs, Max and Bandit, and eating spaghetti anywhere, anytime. She could never spend enough time at the beach and loved being with her family. She was truly one of a kind..."

I do not understand death, but I am grateful to be surrounded by compassionate men and women.
