I know very little about Canada (America's attention stays devoted to our southern neighbors) and from what the experts tell me (i.e. family and friends who have lived their whole lives in the U.S. and never even visted Canada) we are either going to be greeted by Mounties on horseback or French Canadians constently saying "Eh?" after everthing.
The brave Americans?
Below is the letter I sent out a month or so ago. We still need your prayers. I know I have a history of not blogging consistently (i.e. at all) but I hope to be better at it while we are away. That is if we have access to a fast internet.
Thank you to everyone for your prayers and support over the past month and a-half or so. As most of you already know Matt will most likely not be returning to Dominion High School next year and thus we are knee deep in "job hunting."
To all-
We are very grateful for the 4 years Matt has had at Dominion, but as you may (or may not) know teaching at Dominion was intended to be short term.
The long term? Continue to work in the ministry of some kind: Associate or Assistant Pastor of a PCA (Presbyterian Church of America) church or Campus minister or foreign missions. We ask you now to join us praying specifically that:
1. God will guide us to the position that brings him the most glory and us the most pleasure.
2. We will be in a position that allows us to begin a family with minimal stress.
3. We will not allow the accumulation of stuff to slow down our decision. We don't want to be overly concerned about finances in the future, or overly burdened by our present material blessings.
4. Everything will be settled before August of 2008

I spent some time in Quebec when I was in high school--we drove up a highway along the St. Lawrence River, and to date, it may have been the prettiest stretch of road and landscape I have ever seen. Have fun and enjoy!
