"The planet has a fever..."

...and the only cure is more cow-bell." -Al Gore
Okay, so I made up that second part, but don't tell me that you thought it was truth, inconvenient or not.
For the two faithful readers and others who stop by now and again, might I suggest some worthwhile reading. If anything for the entertainment value.

After reading this article on banning plastic grocery bags in San Francisco and then this article on Gore's plea to Congress to impose a "list of policy prescriptions to stop global warming" a "true planetary emergency." I was reminded of an article Matt came across a couple of weeks ago while researching Global Warming for his Ethics class. This article is very insightful and easy to read, but some may consider it a bit long. You won't be discouraged if you do sink your teeth into it.

My research on the subject of global warming is sparse and sporatic, but doesn't creating a "new global climate treaty" based on science that seems...well, sparse and sporatic seem a bit extreme. Given the zeitgeist of California, a plastic bag tax doesn't seem incredibly ridiculous, but maybe the "new global climate treaty" shouldn't be based on California opinion polls and "consensus science."

Just a thought.
