After our long and scenic drive from Portland we were pleasantly surprised by one of New England's best kept secrets tucked in the White Mountains, Jackson, New Hampshire. For us Jackson started out as simply the middle point between Kennebunkport, Maine and Stowe, Vermont, and ended up being our favorite stop. Things to do here: cross-country skiing (93 miles of cc trails), hike the White Mountians, and downhill skiing.
